SEASON PASS DLC

Details on the DLC content included in Final Fantasy 15's DLC pass have been revealed. As reported in early August, the extra content will include a mixture of story episodes, items, and a mysterious expansion.

The exact nature of the episodes, which are focused on each of main character Noctis' friends, is still unclear. However, the game's official website, as translated by Siliconera, states the expansion will create a "new way to play" the game. It also offers a little more insight into what the item packs include. Take a look at the full list of DLC below.

DLC 1 - Booster Pack: Will help you acquire powerful weapons to use in battle.
DLC 2 - Episode Gladiolus: An original episode that focuses on Noctis’ friend Gladiolus. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Gladiolus.
DLC 3 - Episode Holiday Pack: Includes a splendid item pack to make your game more gorgeous.
DLC 4 - Episode Ignis: An original episode that focuses on Noctis' friend Ignis. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Ignis.
DLC 5 - Episode Prompto: An original episode that focuses on Noctis' friend Prompto. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Prompto.
Expansion Pack: An expansion pack that makes it possible to enjoy a completely new way to play Final Fantasy XV.
The Season Pass is included in the Digital Premium Edition of Final Fantasy 15, which is available to preorder for $84.99 on the PlayStation Store. An upgrade option is also available as a "special deal" to those that have already preordered a digital version of the game. Although it was initially listed for $24.99, it has since been removed.

The Final Fantasy 15 release date has been confirmed as September 30, 2016. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while Square Enix is "thinking about a PC version." If the RPG does come to PC, fans should not expect this version to launch alongside the console editions in September, if it happens at all.
